Vladimir Russu is a visionary and successful entrepreneur with three decades of experience in IT distribution and integration, telecommunications, real estate development, and education. He is also a well-known and respected philanthropist and family man.
Education
Vladimir holds a Degree in Engineering and Calculating Machines from the Technical University of Moldova. He believes that education and IT are the keys to Moldova’s prosperous future: “We, as people, are not only hospitable and welcoming; we are also gifted with enormous intellectual potential. Our roots go back to one of the most ancient civilizations of antiquity - Cucuteni–Trypillia. The qualities and abilities passed down from generation to generation clearly indicate that we have a significant human capital. It must be developed and used by all means”.
Accomplishments
Moldcell JSC
Vladimir co-founded the second biggest mobile operator in Moldova – Moldcell JSC. During his tenure as Chairman of the Board, Moldcell grew steadily and reached 50% of the national market.
Center of Business & Finance
Vladimir’s construction company built the Center of Business and Finance – the first A-Class office building in Chisinau and Ambassador Luxury Residence setting the highest standards for the whole industry.
Moldovan Government
At the end of the 1990s, Vladimir's company, in partnership with the Moldovan Government and Hewlett-Packard, implemented the first of its kind, national-scale educational project, providing a fully equipped computer classroom in every Moldovan school.
